Tree
This is an exciting week for me, as we are posting our first-ever poem by a Lost Coin member, Liz McCoy.  Her poem was inspired by a talk of Sensei’s at the Wonderland retreat in September, and the accompanying photo was taken by Liz’ husband, Brian Doubek.  Thank you for sharing this with us, Liz!

I am. I am. I am.
“Within Darkness there is light
But do not look for that light”
I am. I am. I am.
When there is darkness,
We look.  We seek.  We ask.
There is only more darkness.
I am. I am. I am.
There is a dead tree.
I am. I am. I am.
When there is darkness,
I am. I am. I am.
There is light.
I am. I am. I am.
There is a dragon where the dead tree once stood.
I am. I am. I am.
